The cut grade of your diamond will determine how your diamond will sparkle. Cut grade takes into account the symmetry of the diamond, therefore when the diamond is not cut well the asymmetrical facets will force sparkle to leak out of the diamond before the light reflects into your eyes.
Here at ClarityCut Diamonds we do not work with diamonds that are below the “Very Good” grade.
Above you see the color scale, which determines how yellow / brown your diamond will look.
Here at ClarityCut Diamonds we do not recommend going below the H color grade. This is because the color grades below H contain a yellow / brown tint which becomes more visible to the naked eye.
And last but definitely not least is the “Clarity Scale”. Clarity determines how clean your diamond will look. When diamonds are grown in a lab or from the earth, extra chemicals such as boron and carbon can get trapped into the diamond which eventually creates “inclusions”.
Inclusions are essentially spots and speckles that are seen within the diamond. While most inclusions are not noticeable to the naked eye, some can be detrimental to the diamonds’ beauty.
The scale goes from “FL or Flawless to I3”.
Here at ClarityCut Diamonds we believe it is not required to spend a fortune on a FLAWLESS OR INTERNALLY FLAWLESS diamond. The lowest graded clarity diamonds we work with are SI1.
